CDB Bank to Sell Loan and Deposit Portfolio to Bank of Cyprus

CDB Bank has announced an agreement with Bank of Cyprus for the sale of a portfolio of performing loans and deposits. The agreement concerns loans of approximately €150 million and deposits of approximately €500 million, with a transfer at par. CDB Bank has been considering alternative strategies for the past three years, and the choice of Bank of Cyprus, as the largest banking institution, is considered confirmation of the quality of its assets. The agreement aims to optimize CDB Bank's assets and transition its operations to a stronger banking structure. Bank of Cyprus will ensure the continuity of customer service. The remaining assets and liabilities of CDB Bank will continue to be serviced as usual. The completion of the transaction is subject to the approval of CDB Bank's shareholders, the signing of the documents, and the receipt of the necessary regulatory approvals. It is expected to be completed in the second half of 2026, during which time CDB Bank's operations will continue as normal.
