Police in Limassol conducted checks to prevent juvenile delinquency, leading to the arrest of two minors in Agia Fyla and Mesa Geitonia. The checks were carried out in areas where gatherings of young people are frequently observed. During the checks, the young people fled upon seeing the police, but two of them were apprehended and arrested. One of the arrested was 17 years old and was found in possession of a folding baton, considered an offensive weapon. The other arrestee was 15 years old and was wearing a hood to conceal his identity. Both minors were handed over to the authorities and are subject to the prescribed legal procedures. These arrests are part of the police's efforts to address the increasing activity of young offenders in the area.
