France Convenes Security Council Over Iran and Greenland Developments

French President Emmanuel Macron convened the French Security Council to discuss developments in both Iran and Greenland. Simultaneously, the dispatch of 15 French soldiers to Greenland was announced to participate in the 'Arctic Resilience' military exercise, following a request from Denmark. The exercise is being conducted with the participation of France, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, and Norway. This move comes after meetings between Danish and Greenlandic officials with their American counterparts, where the Danish Foreign Minister stated that President Trump wishes to acquire Greenland. France believes that a military presence in Greenland is important for strengthening the region's security and deterring potential American actions.
