Paphos Dam Fullness Remains at 23% Despite Rainfall

The fullness of the dams in the province of Paphos remains low, around 23%, despite recent rainfall. The Water Development Department does not expect a significant increase in water reserves immediately, although inflows continue. The Pomos and Argaka dams overflowed due to heavy rainfall, which caused satisfaction among residents of the area. The Argaka dam, the smallest of the large dams, operates in conjunction with other dams to irrigate the agricultural land of the region. The Xeropotamos River contributes to strengthening the reserves of the Asprokremmos dam. The Paphos Provincial Self-Governing Authority is coordinating with the Water Development Department to address water losses.
