Six Defendants to Appear in Court for Stavros Demosthenous Murder

Six defendants will appear in Limassol Criminal Court today for the case of the murder of 49-year-old Stavros Demosthenous, who was killed on October 17, 2025, in Agia Athansia. The charges include premeditated murder, conspiracy to commit a felony and murder, arson of a vehicle, illegal possession and use of firearms and explosives, and vehicle theft. According to investigations, one of the defendants is linked to the sale of the motorcycle used for the escape, while another is alleged to have given instructions from prison to purchase it. Genetic material of one defendant was found in a stolen vehicle used to monitor the victim. Another is alleged to have been the driver of the van from which the shots were fired. Two of the defendants, cousins, were arrested in Thessaloniki by Greek authorities, with one believed to be the perpetrator.
