Cyprus FM to Present EU Priorities in Brussels

Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos is traveling to Brussels to present the priorities of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union. He will address the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) and the Committee on Development (DEVE), focusing on issues such as development cooperation and humanitarian aid. During his visit, Mr. Kombos will participate in the EU's Foreign Affairs Council (FAC), where critical issues such as Russian aggression against Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East, and the situation in the Great Lakes Region will be discussed. Furthermore, there will be an exchange of views with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk. The Foreign Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts and other officials. The presentation of the Cypriot Presidency's priorities is a significant step in promoting Cyprus' interests within the EU and addressing common challenges.
