Yiannos Kougioumtzian to Compete in Giant Slalom at Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics

Yiannos Kougioumtzian will compete in the Giant Slalom at the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, with the first run starting at 11:00 Cyprus time. The Cyprus Olympic Committee announced that he will compete 78th among 81 athletes. His goal is to successfully complete both runs. He will be supported by his mother, Lina Aristodimou, the first Cypriot to participate in the Winter Olympics in 1980. Ms. Aristodimou expressed her pride in her son and emphasized the importance of his participation in the Games.
