Court Ruling for Broken Table Glass - Employee Wins in Limassol

The Court of Appeal ruled in favor of an employee in Limassol in a labor accident case that occurred in 2006. The employee was seriously injured while moving a table, following instructions from the company's manager. The court ruled that the company bore sole responsibility for the accident, rejecting any negligence on the part of the employee. The accident occurred when the employee and a colleague were trying to move the table from an elevated balcony, resulting in the glass breaking and the employee injuring his wrist. The injury caused permanent disability, despite repeated surgeries and physiotherapy. The Court of Appeal overturned the original decision, ruling that the company had not provided safe working conditions and that the instructions given were dangerous.
