Surveillance Stations in Occupied Territories - Data to be Transferred to Turkey

Turkey has announced the construction of ship monitoring stations in the occupied territories, with the aim of collecting data that will be transferred to Turkey. The stations are located in Karpas, Agios Theodoros and Livera, and a central control station is also being built in occupied Famagusta. According to Turkish Cypriot publications, Turkish Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu stated that through this system, 24-hour monitoring of maritime traffic in the region will be achieved, integrating data from Automatic Identification Systems and radar. The construction of these stations is further evidence of Turkey's increasing presence and control in the occupied territories, as well as Turkey's efforts to strengthen its influence in the Eastern Mediterranean.
