Rare LNG Shipment from China to Europe – Strong Presence of Greek Shipowners

A cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) reloaded from China is heading to Europe, marking a rare move that reflects the continent's increased energy needs and shifts in global gas flows. The Seapeak Glasgow vessel loaded the cargo in China and is heading towards Europe. This is the first shipment of reloaded LNG from China to Europe in four years. China has reduced its demand for LNG, allowing it to resell cargoes to other markets. At the same time, Greek shipping maintains its dominant position in the LNG transport sector, with a significant portion of the global fleet under Greek control.
