Train Collision in Peru Injures at Least 15 Tourists, Reports of Death

At least 15 tourists were injured, one seriously, after a collision between two trains heading to Machu Picchu in Peru. A Peruvian news outlet also reported one death, the driver of one of the trains, but this has not been officially confirmed. The collision occurred at 13:20 (local time) and caused material damage to the trains. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. Machu Picchu receives an average of 4,500 visitors daily.
