The Cyprus Meteorological Department has issued a Yellow Warning for rain and storms, valid from 11:00 today, Clean Monday, until 17:00 in the afternoon. The warning concerns isolated strong storms, which are expected to mainly affect inland areas, the mountains, and possibly the south and east coasts. The weather forecast predicts an unstable air mass affecting the area, with the afternoon being mostly cloudy with local showers. Tomorrow, the weather will be mainly clear, but local increased clouds and possibly isolated rain in the mountains are expected in the afternoon. Local showers are forecast for Wednesday and Thursday, mainly in the western half of the island, with snow or sleet expected on the highest peaks of Troodos. The temperature will remain at the same levels but will fall noticeably on Thursday.
