Paphos Municipality on Alert Due to Weather Conditions, No Damage Reported So Far

The Paphos Provincial Self-Government Organization (PSA) is on high alert due to the extreme weather conditions affecting the region. Emergency response teams have been organized to immediately address potential flooding, with continuous inspection of critical points and cleaning of drains and grates. The teams operate in Municipalities, as well as in the communities of Emba and Chlorakas, in cooperation with local authorities. So far, no damage or problems have been reported despite the strong winds. Simultaneously, Hermes Airports announced that the strong winds have not affected flights at Paphos Airport. The President of the PSA Paphos, Charalambos Pittokopitis, stated that the teams are fully prepared and are moving regularly to deal with any unforeseen weather events.
