The relocation of students from Akrotiri to the B' Primary School of Kolossi has been completed smoothly, according to the Mayor of Kourion, Pantelis Georgiou, and the President of the Akrotiri Primary School Parents and Guardians Association, Paulina Argyrou. The process of approving the use of buses from a private company is underway to cover transportation needs. The Mayor of Kourion stated that buses with the necessary safety features have been secured and approval from the Ministry of Education is expected to begin transporting students. The President of the Parents Association expressed her satisfaction with the children's adaptation to the new school, noting that the classes were not dissolved as there were available classrooms. The process of obtaining parental consent for student transportation is ongoing, while the Municipality of Kourion has undertaken to cover the transportation costs. The School Board, the First Education Officer, and the School Inspector collaborated to resolve the problem that arose after the decision for mandatory evacuation. The smooth transition of students and the quick finding of solutions for their transportation are a significant success, ensuring the continuation of the educational process for the children of Akrotiri.
