Cyprus Police Union Appeals Decision on Work Hours

The Cyprus Police Association (SAK PASYDY) has filed an application with the Supreme Court to annul the decision of the Chief of Police regarding working hours, which changed from 12 hours to 11 hours per working cycle. The union believes that the decision was made unilaterally, without prior consultation with the relevant committees. Although the Supreme Court ruled that the matter should be examined by the Administrative Court, SAK PASYDY is considering an appeal or filing a lawsuit with the Administrative Court for interim orders. The union describes the decision of the Chief of Police as unprecedented and emphasizes that it will take all necessary legal action to protect the rights of its members.
