Electricity Market Needs Accuracy and Transparency – SAH

The Electricity Market Association (SAH) argues that the public discussion on energy should be based on documented evidence, challenging certain statements made by the President of EAC. SAH maintains that EAC already has the largest access to Renewable Energy Sources (RES) and maintains a dominant position in the market. SAH disputes the presentation of net metering and net billing systems as a net cost, emphasizing that they contribute to reducing the need for conventional production. Furthermore, it expresses concern about a possible expansion of bilateral contracts between EAC and private producers, believing that this could create competition problems. SAH also reports problems with the MDMS metering data system and calls for institutional accuracy and transparency in the electricity market. It emphasizes the need for accurate public information and to ensure a well-informed public dialogue, based on accurate data and real market conditions. SAH, as the institutional representative of participants in the Competitive Electricity Market, considers it its duty to clarify certain critical issues, with the aim of ensuring the proper functioning of the market and protecting the interests of all stakeholders.
