Hungary and Germany Interested in Romanian Natural Gas from Neptune Deep

Hungary and Germany are among several European Union countries interested in importing natural gas from Romania's offshore Neptune Deep project in the Black Sea, Romanian Energy Deputy Minister Cristian Busoi stated today. However, Romania hopes to utilize as much of the gas as possible for its own economy. The Neptun Deep project, developed by OMV Petrom and Romgaz, is estimated to hold recoverable natural gas reserves of 100 billion cubic meters. Its completion is expected to make Romania the largest natural gas producer in the EU by 2027.
