Aspects of Time: The Silent Memory of Objects in Miriam Mac Connon's Paintings

The Blue Iris Gallery presents a retrospective exhibition of Irish visual artist Miriam Mac Connon, titled “Aspects of Time.” The exhibition, charting ten years of artistic creation, explores themes such as memory, loss, displacement, and the need to belong through paintings with strong narrative power. Domestic objects play a central role in Mac Connon's work, being transformed into carriers of personal and collective stories. The exhibition highlights the relationship between individual and collective memory, as well as the political and social burden hidden behind everyday objects. Mac Connon has exhibited internationally and represented Ireland and Cyprus at Biennials. The exhibition will open on February 7th in Paphos and will run until February 21st.
