President: Main Goal of Italy Visit is to Upgrade Relations

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, is visiting Italy with the aim of upgrading relations between the two countries in all areas, including defense. The President stated that he wants to bring Cyprus-Italy relations to the same level as those Cyprus has with France. The visit coincides with the "Battlefield ReDEFiNED 2026" conference being held in Nicosia. He will also meet with ENI CEO Claudio Descalzi to discuss the latest plans for the export of Cypriot natural gas to Europe via Egypt.
