Beware: Malicious SMS Messages Circulating Regarding GESY

The Health Insurance Organization (HIO) is warning about the circulation of false and malicious SMS messages being sent to mobile phones of GESY beneficiaries. These messages appear to be from GESY and ask recipients to follow a link to correct their personal details. The HIO emphasizes that it has no connection to these messages and urges citizens not to open the link and to delete the message immediately. This is not the first time such incidents have been reported. The HIO had published relevant announcements in November and on December 31st, but the malicious messages continue to circulate. The Organization reminds that it will never request passwords, login details, payment details or any other personal data via SMS, nor will it ask citizens to make any financial transactions via links. The HIO's warning is important for protecting citizens' personal data and avoiding potential scams. Citizens are urged to be particularly careful and not to respond to suspicious messages.
