Extensive Damage from Fire at EAC Transformer Room

A fire in a transformer metering room of the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) in Pyla caused extensive damage on Tuesday night. The Fire Service responded immediately and extinguished the fire, which was caused by a short circuit. The room sustained severe damage, and the exterior paint of the building was also affected. The EAC disconnected the electricity supply to the area.
