Warning for Very Strong Winds – Valid Until Tonight

The Cyprus Meteorological Department has issued a warning for very strong and temporarily up to severe winds, valid until 9 pm tonight. The winds will be northeasterly to southeasterly, with an intensity of 6 Beaufort and temporarily up to 7 Beaufort, affecting the western, northern and locally the southern coasts. The sea is expected to be up to rough and later rough to wavy, and locally wavy in the west and north coasts. Citizens are advised to be careful and take the necessary protective measures. The weather will be partly cloudy with medium and high clouds, with the possibility of isolated showers from tonight. Thin dust will be suspended in the atmosphere, which may cause respiratory problems in sensitive individuals. The warning was issued by the Cyprus News Agency (CNA) and aims to inform the public about the dangerous weather conditions expected in Cyprus.
