Parliament Approves Insurance Coverage Regulations for Army Members – Amounts in Case of Death or Permanent Disability

The House of Representatives unanimously approved regulations providing insurance coverage for members of the Army serving in high-risk positions. The coverage applies to cases of death or permanent total disability incurred while performing their duties. In the event of death, the heirs will receive €115,000, plus an additional €95,000 per dependent. For permanent total disability, the amount is also €115,000 plus €95,000 per dependent. The payment of compensation will be made after a decision by a competent medical board, and the amounts will not be subject to tax or other charges. In the event of a claim, the court will consider and offset any amounts already paid.
