Flooding of Homes and Roads Due to Bad Weather – Fire Service Responding, Calls by Province

The Fire Service is on high alert as problems are being observed in various provinces due to the bad weather. According to Spokesperson Andreas Kettis, the Fire Service has received four calls so far regarding flooding (water accumulation in properties and basements) in the Nicosia province. Additionally, in Larnaca, they received two calls for flooding (water accumulation in a property and opening of storm drains) and two calls in the Famagusta province for flooding (water accumulation in properties and basements). In some cases of flooded roads, local authorities have also been activated. No calls have been received in the provinces of Limassol and Paphos.
