Man Arrested for Allegedly Selling Counterfeit Mobile Phones for €2,000

Police announced they are investigating a fraud case following a complaint from a 30-year-old man. According to the complaint, the 30-year-old purchased four mobile phones from two unknown individuals in Paralimni on January 23, 2026, paying €2,000. He later discovered that the phones were not genuine. During the investigation, testimony emerged against a 47-year-old man, who was arrested today under a court warrant. The suspect is expected to appear before the Famagusta District Court tomorrow for the issuance of a detention order. The Famagusta TAE continues investigations into the case.
