Trump 'Enemy of Europe,' According to Poll in 7 European Countries

A poll conducted in seven European countries reveals that a small majority of citizens consider US President Donald Trump an 'enemy of Europe.' 51% of respondents expressed this view, while only 8% described him as a 'friend of Europe.' The remaining 39% do not support either opinion. The poll, carried out by the Cluster 17 institute, was conducted in France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, Denmark, and Poland. Poland is an exception, as only 28% of respondents hold this view, likely due to the country's traditionally close relationship with the US. In Denmark and Spain, the percentage of citizens who consider Trump hostile reaches 58% and 55% respectively, while in France it stands at 55%. The poll also shows that Europeans are divided on the stance the EU should take towards the US, with 46% favoring 'opposition' and 44% favoring 'compromise.' Finally, the vast majority of respondents (73%) believe that the EU should rely on itself for its defense, without counting on US support.
