Cyprus ADHD Association Expands Services to Nicosia, Limassol, and Larnaca

The Cyprus ADHD Association is significantly expanding its services to various cities in Cyprus, including Nicosia, Limassol, and Larnaca, responding to growing needs. The President of the Association, Marina Georgiou, states that important changes are underway in legislation regarding people with disabilities and special education, which will affect thousands of people with ADHD. A new building has already been established in Nicosia and a new space in Limassol, while a building has been granted by the Municipality of Larnaca and an office grant is expected from the Municipality of Paralimni. Expansion of services to mountainous areas is also being considered. The Association has also organized seminars on ADHD in the workplace, aiming to promote the inclusion and support of adults with ADHD in employment. This initiative highlights the importance of cooperation in achieving meaningful change. Additionally, new programs have been launched, such as supported employment, social escort, and semi-independent living for individuals aged 13-17, with the aim of strengthening autonomy and inclusion. These programs address real needs and offer new opportunities. During the Vasilopita cutting event, the Association honored Dinos Ellinas for his long-standing and substantial contribution to the creation of the Employment Center for Children 6-12 years old in Limassol.
