Greenland PM Urges Citizens to Prepare for Potential Invasion Amid Trump's Remarks

The Prime Minister of Greenland, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, has urged citizens and authorities to prepare for a potential military invasion, despite the scenario being considered unlikely. This move comes in response to repeated statements by Donald Trump about taking control of Greenland. Nielsen announced the formation of a special task force to prepare citizens for possible disruptions to daily life, as well as the consideration of distributing guidelines for storing food for at least five days. Demark, to which Greenland belongs, has strengthened its defense in the Arctic with the deployment of more troops. Additionally, Denmark and seven other NATO countries have deployed officers to Greenland as part of Operation Arctic Endurance. The situation is exacerbated by Donald Trump's threat to impose new tariffs on NATO allies, which has prompted a warning from the Danish Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, of a possible response from Europe.
