Paris Erotokritou Appointed New General Director of Nicosia Theatre and International Festival

Paris Erotokritou has been appointed as the new General Director of the Nicosia Municipal Theatre and the Cyprus International Festival, succeeding Giorgos G. Papageorgiou. The selection was based on his vision for the organization and his extensive experience in the performing arts, both in Cyprus and abroad. In his new role, he will be responsible for shaping and implementing the organization's strategy, artistic programming, and strengthening its international character. Emphasis will also be placed on connecting the theatre with the community and the city of Nicosia through educational programs and cultural initiatives. Nicosia For Art expresses confidence that Erotokritou's presence will contribute to the further development of the two institutions. Paris Erotokritou is an internationally recognized director, producer, and artistic director. He studied directing at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London and the Athens Higher School of Dramatic Art, as well as Law at King’s College London. He has collaborated with significant theatre organizations in the United Kingdom and with internationally renowned creators. Additionally, he is a co-founder of the theatre app Stagedoor and has founded the Fresh Target Theatre Ensemble and Sputnik Theatre, contributing to the development of the Cypriot theatre scene.
