Dimitris Syllouris and Christakis Tziovannis were acquitted by the Permanent Criminal Court of Nicosia in the case concerning the Al Jazeera video. The 170-page decision dismisses all charges due to lack of evidence. Following the announcement, the families of the accused expressed their joy. Mr. Syllouris stated that he holds no grudge against anyone, emphasizing that he was and remains innocent. He highlighted that corruption leads to wealth, something he does not possess, and that the fight against corruption must be done legally, without manipulation and political expediency.
