The Businesses of Mojtaba Khamenei in Europe - The Role of an Iranian with Cypriot Citizenship

A new investigation reveals details about the business activities of Mojtaba Khamenei, the new supreme leader of Iran, and the role of an Iranian with Cypriot citizenship. According to the investigation, Khamenei used a loan of 42 million euros from a company with Israeli ownership to purchase luxury properties in London. The investigation, conducted by the Shomrim platform in collaboration with the ICIJ, reveals that Khamenei managed to circumvent sanctions and transfer billions of dollars to Western countries through a network of shell companies and bank accounts. Ali Ansari, an Iranian businessman with Cypriot citizenship, is said to have played a key role in the network, acting as a representative of the Khamenei family in Europe and managing property purchases. Ansari's Cypriot citizenship allowed him to open bank accounts and establish companies in Europe without raising suspicion.
