US Secretary of State Marco Rubio described as “concerning” the report by five European countries accusing Russia of the murder of the late Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny, using a toxin from poisonous frogs. At the same time, he stressed that Washington has no reason to dispute the findings of the report. Speaking at a press conference in Bratislava, Rubio stated that the US has no reason to disagree with the conclusions of the report, emphasizing that it is a product of the research conducted by the European countries that published it. He reiterated that Washington does not intend to question the data that emerged from the investigation. Rubio’s statement comes at a critical juncture, following the publication of the report, which sparked new reactions against Russia and increased pressure for international condemnation and countermeasures. The US appears to remain steadfast in its support for the European initiative and the need to hold those responsible for Navalny's death accountable.
