Trial Begins for Disgrace of Former Athens University of Economics and Business Rector

The trial has begun for the unprecedented attack and public humiliation of the former Rector of the Athens University of Economics and Business, Dimitris Bourantonis, by a group of hooded individuals. The attack took place five years ago and shocked the academic community. During his testimony, Mr. Bourantonis described in detail what he experienced, stating that the perpetrators broke into his office, immobilized him, and hung a sign around his neck. He mentioned that on that day he met with the then Vice-Rector and that the attack was sudden, with the perpetrators destroying property and expressing hatred. He was unable to identify the perpetrators, but described a woman with long brown hair who participated in the destruction. The trial continues with the expectation of justice being served.
