66-Year-Old Dead, 40-Year-Old Motorcyclist in Serious Condition After Collision

A fatal traffic accident occurred at noon on Sunday in the province of Limassol, claiming the life of 66-year-old Kyriakos Kyriakou. Kyriakou, driving his car, collided with a motorcycle driven by a 40-year-old man, in the area of Alassa. According to the Police, the 66-year-old attempted to turn right to return to Limassol, when he obstructed the path of the motorcycle. Kyriakou was transported to the hospital, where his death was confirmed. The 40-year-old motorcyclist was taken to a private hospital in serious condition. Police report that the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet and did not have a driver's license. The authorities are investigating whether the unfortunate car driver was wearing a seatbelt, as he had to be extricated by the Fire Service.
