Yellow Warning for Strong Storms, Hail and Strengthened Winds – When it Comes into Effect

The Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning for strong storms, hail and strengthened winds, which will be in effect from 11:00 am on Thursday until 6:00 pm on the same day. The storms are expected to be isolated and accompanied by hail, while the winds will change and strengthen, reaching 35-55 millimeters per hour. The warning was issued due to the influence of a low-pressure system from Egypt and the approach of a new disturbance from the west. Dust will be suspended in the atmosphere, with increased concentrations at intervals until Friday evening. The weather is expected to remain mostly cloudy with local rains and storms. Winds will mainly blow from the northeast, weak to moderate, but temporarily strong on the coasts. The temperature will drop to 11 degrees inland, around 14 on the coast and 6 degrees in the higher mountains. For tomorrow, local rains and isolated storms with hail are forecast. Winds will blow from various directions, weak to moderate, but may strengthen in a storm. Local rains and storms are expected intermittently on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with a possibility of snow in the higher mountains.
