A 40-year-old man was arrested after a series of burglaries at ten stores in eastern Thessaloniki. The suspect was caught red-handed the next day while breaking into a pastry shop. He is charged with aggravated theft and damage to property. In his statement, the 40-year-old claimed to be a drug addict and said he did not remember his actions. He requested a psychiatric evaluation. He has been arrested in the past for similar offenses and was released on bail. Video footage of his actions shows the suspect breaking the windows of stores and entering to steal. He was found in possession of money, products, and a stolen motorcycle. The investigation revealed that he had broken into a total of ten stores. The clothes he wore during the burglaries, as well as electrical appliances and tools, were found in his home, and their origin is being investigated.
