Spain has been confirmed as the host nation for the 2030 FIFA World Cup Final, which will be co-hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. This announcement was made by the president of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Rafael Luthán, who highlighted Spain's organizational capabilities. The specific city – Madrid (Santiago Bernabéu) or Barcelona (Camp Nou) – has not yet been determined. Morocco had previously expressed its desire to host the final in Casablanca, at the newly constructed 'Grand Stade Hassan II,' expected to be completed by the end of 2028 with a capacity of 115,000 spectators. The president of the Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Faouzi Lekjaa, had voiced his hope for a Spain-Morocco final in Casablanca last year. FIFA has stated that it is too early to finalize the location of the 2030 final, noting that the host city for the 2026 final was only revealed two years prior to the tournament. The selection of Spain to host the final is expected to significantly boost the country's tourism and economy, while also showcasing Spanish culture and hospitality on a global stage.
