Mitsotakis: Four Measures Worth 300 Million Euros to Support Citizens Against the Energy Crisis

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced a package of four support measures totaling 300 million euros for April and May, in response to the energy crisis exacerbated by the conflict in the Middle East. The measures include a subsidy for diesel, a digital fuel card for gasoline, a grant for farmers to purchase fertilizers, and compensation for shipping companies to keep fares down. Funding will come from public funds and changes in the taxation of online gambling profits. The Prime Minister stressed that the government will maintain reserves for a possible deterioration of the economic situation and that Greece is leading the search for a unified European response.
