Monthly Decrease in Producer Prices in Industry, Unchanged Annually

The Industrial Producer Price Index recorded a 0.7% decrease in November 2025 compared to the previous month, while remaining unchanged on an annual basis. For the period January-November 2025, the index showed an overall decrease of 0.3% compared to the corresponding period of 2024. Specifically, in November the index reached 122.1 units (base 2021=100). The decrease was mainly observed in the supply of electricity (-2.8%) and manufacturing (-0.2%), while an increase was recorded in the supply of water and material recovery (1.1%). Regarding annual changes, increases were recorded in the sectors of mining and quarrying (8.8%), water supply and material recovery (1.4%) and manufacturing (0.1%), offsetting the decrease in electricity supply (-1.1%). At the level of sectors, in November increases were observed in the manufacture of furniture, the manufacture of electronic and optical products, the production of other non-metallic mineral products, rubber and plastic products, textile materials and petroleum refining products. Conversely, a decrease was recorded in the food, beverage and tobacco industry, as well as in the manufacture of paper and paper products.
