‘Great Middle East War’: Tehran After Khamenei’s Death, Trump’s Two Options and Netanyahu’s Ambitions

Political analyst Evanthia Koulourioti states that the situation in the Middle East remains unclear after the death of Khamenei and the attacks on Iran. Although the regime is not close to collapse, the attacks by the US and Israel have caused significant damage to Iran's military and economic capabilities. According to the US and Israel, the attacks destroyed a large part of Iran's air defense systems, air force, and nuclear program. Iran, on the other hand, claims that its armed forces remain capable of continuing the war. Koulourioti reports that the attacks have eliminated about 80% of Iran's military capabilities, excluding ground forces. Iran's missile program has also suffered significant damage. Netanyahu's ambitions and Trump's two options for the region are expected to shape the future of the Middle East.
