Limassol Man Arrested for Drug Possession, Attempted Destruction of Evidence

A 40-year-old man from Limassol was arrested last night following a search by the YKAN (Cyprus Drug Squad) at his residence, regarding a drug possession case. Police, with a court warrant, were forced to break down the door as the man refused to open it and allegedly attempted to destroy narcotics by flushing them down the toilet. During the search, approximately 10 grams of cannabis, a small amount of cocaine, and electronic scales with traces of drugs were found. Furthermore, a search of a relative's house revealed 44 grams of cocaine, which the 40-year-old allegedly admitted belonged to him. The man has been detained, and YKAN continues its investigations.
