Lebanon: Four Dead in Israeli Strike Near Sidon

Four people were killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Lebanese city of Sidon, according to the state news agency NNA. The attack hit an apartment building in the Hareet Saida area, on the outskirts of Sidon. An eyewitness reported that his uncle and three family members were killed, describing the strike as a “massacre.” Since March 2, Israeli strikes have killed 773 people in Lebanon, at least 98 of whom were children, according to the World Health Organization. The attacks began in response to fire from Hezbollah on March 2, in retaliation for the assassination of the Supreme Leader of Iran. The situation in the region remains tense.
