Larnaca: Trial of Two Businessmen for Incident-Related Charges Set for June 17th

Two businessmen, aged 47 and 43, appeared before the Larnaca District Court charged with interfering in a judicial process and conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor, charges they deny. Additionally, the 47-year-old is charged with illegal possession of property, as €103,915 and checks worth €560,000, allegedly proceeds of theft, were found in his office. The defendants were released on bail of €80,000 each, with the obligation to surrender their travel documents and report to a police station twice a week. The case was adjourned to June 17th, as the defense attorneys requested witness material. According to the prosecution, the businessmen allegedly attempted to persuade the complainant in an extortion case to change his testimony.
