Cyprus Remains Calm Amidst Middle East Conflict – Minister Reports Drone Attack and Attempted Assault

The Cypriot Foreign Minister, Konstantinos Kombos, stated that the situation in Cyprus remains calm despite the war in the Middle East, with citizens' daily lives proceeding normally. Schools, universities, the private and public sectors are operating as usual, and air traffic has returned to pre-attack levels. Mr. Kombos reported a drone attack on the British base and a failed attack attempt away from the Republic of Cyprus, while heightened alerts are in place. He emphasized the significant response from Greece, France, Italy, and Spain, offering practical assistance. He predicted that the situation in the region will remain escalated for some time, but Cyprus will continue to operate with the protection and safety of its citizens as a priority.
