Άδειο παραμένει το Ακρωτήρι μετά και την κατάσταση που επικρατεί αφότου drone κατέπεσε στις Βρετανικές Βάσεις, όπως ανέφερε στην εκπομπή του ΣΙΓΜΑ «Μεσημέρι και Κάτι», ο Κοινοτάρχης του χωριού, Αντρέας Χριστοδούλου.
Όπως ανέφερε, το χωριό δεν διαθέτει καταφύγια και αναμένουν από την Κυβέρνηση επίλυση του προβλήματος, ωστόσο, ενημερώθηκαν από τις Βρετανικές Βάσεις, όπως είπε, πως θα προχωρήσουν σε διευθετήσεις.
Την ίδια στιγμή, ανέφερε πως τα σχολεία δεν έχουν λειτουργήσει ακόμη και οι μαθητές φοιτούν προσωρινά σε σχολείο στο Κολόσσι.
«Εμείς ακούμε τις σειρήνες αλλά τι γίνεται δεν ξέρουμε», ανέφερε χαρακτηριστικά.

Χθες ανέφερε πως υπήρξε έντονη κινητικότητα στην περιοχή, με τα F35 των Βρετανικών Βάσεων και άλλα αεροσκάφη, σημειώνοντας ότι το γεγονός ότι υπάρχουν δυνάμεις, τους κάνουν να νιώθουν ασφαλείς.
Την ίδια ώρα σημείωσε πως κάποιοι κάτοικοι επέλεξαν να παραμείνουν σε ξενοδοχεία.
Εξέφρασε την ελπίδα οι Κυβερνώντες να δημιουργήσουν ένα καταφύγιο στην περιοχή, για να ξέρει ο κόσμος ότι σε περίπτωση που συμβεί κάτι θα έχουν κάπου να πάνε.
«Αυτή τη στιγμή ηχούν οι σειρήνες, δεν ξέρουμε γιατί και δεν ξέρουμε που να πάμε», τόνισε, σημειώνοντας πως δεν υπάρχει σχέδιο διαφυγής.
Στην κάμερα του ΣΙΓΜΑ μίλησαν και κάτοικοι του χωριού.
