Cronus Gas Field: First Cypriot Natural Gas to Europe Expected by End of March

The President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, announced that the 'Cronus' gas field is in the final stages of development, with the aim of starting natural gas exports to Europe by the end of March. The President will travel to Egypt to participate in the Cairo Energy Forum, where he hopes the President of the European Commission will also attend. The development of 'Cronus' represents the first export from the plots in the Cypriot EEZ and is considered important for the Cypriot economy and people. The ENI and TOTAL consortium has already invested $1.2 billion in Cyprus.
