No Room for Prolongation of Current Situation in Cyprus Issue

The Government Spokesman, Konstantinos Letymbiotis, stated that there is no room for prolongation of the current situation in the Cyprus issue. The statement was made during a memorial speech at the Holy Church of the Savior Christ in Tala, in memory of heroes. Mr. Letymbiotis emphasized the importance of preserving the memory of sacrifices and the need to defend the dignity of the Republic of Cyprus, given the barbaric invasion and the ongoing occupation. He expressed readiness to resume negotiations from the point where they were interrupted in Cran Montana, with respect for International Law and the principles of the European Union, as well as to convene an expanded conference under the auspices of the United Nations Secretary-General.
