New Board of Directors of the Union of Cyprus Journalists Constituted

The new Board of Directors of the Union of Cyprus Journalists (UCJ) convened today for its first session following the electoral general assembly. During the session, the Board was constituted with the election of Fanis Makridis as Vice-President, Eleni Constantinou as General Secretary, and Stavros Antoniou as Treasurer. Giorgos Frangos remains President of the UCJ, while the members of the Board are Dimitra Georgiou, Ioanna Christodoulou, and Stelios Marathovouniotis. The election of the new officials was unanimous. The composition of the new Board of Directors marks the continuation of the UCJ's work and the addressing of the challenges facing the journalistic profession in Cyprus. The first session of the Board focused on organizing its operation and setting priorities for the next period, with the aim of protecting the interests of journalists and promoting quality journalism.
