Greece Issues Guidelines for Civilian Protection in Case of Hostile Action

The Ministry of Interior has issued guidelines for civilian protection in the event of a threat from hostile action. The instructions include staying informed from official sources when alarm sirens sound, remaining calm, and heading to the nearest shelters. Sirens are activated only by competent authorities when there is an immediate danger. Citizens are urged to know the location of shelters in advance through the SafeCY application or the Operations Control Center of Civil Defense. In case of moving to a shelter, it is recommended to bring identification, money, water, dry food, medicine, and a flashlight. If there are no shelters in the area, citizens should seek safe shelter and follow the instructions of the authorities.
