Entire Prefabricated House Destroyed by Fire in Limassol

A prefabricated house in the Pyrgos area of Limassol was completely destroyed by a fire in the early hours of March 11th. The fire broke out around 04:40 and was extinguished by members of the Fire Service. The house was unoccupied at the time of the fire, as the owner was abroad. The lack of occupants prevented any injuries or loss of life. The Fire Service responded promptly to the incident and managed to contain and extinguish the fire, however, the house suffered total destruction. The rapid action of the firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to neighboring properties. The Police are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. The scene was cordoned off and examinations will be carried out to determine whether the fire was caused by accident or arson. The results of the investigation are expected soon.
